LEAP Forum Launch Ceremony: A Global Call for Peace

On December 20, 2024, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) convened the LEAP (Leading Experts in Action for Peace) Forum inauguration via Zoom, co-hosted by International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), International Council of Jurists, Human Rights Foundation, and All Media Press Association J&K (AMPA). The event commemorated the 10th anniversary of the HWPL Peace Summit and sought to establish a global network dedicated to sustainable peace, engaging 40 experts and representatives from civil society.
Distinguished experts from India and Sri Lanka, including Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika, Mr. Nachiket Anil Dave, Ms. Ishari Gunarathna, and Dr. Viranjana Herath, presented perspectives on addressing regional challenges and enhancing collaboration. The NGO and civil society session featured Dr. P.C. Achankunju and Jeni Geethika, who underscored the significance of partnerships among NGOs, experts, and youth in constructing sustainable peace frameworks.
The Declaration of Experts articulated three core commitments:
1. Advocating for peace and justice through their expertise.
2. Collaborating with civil society to devise and implement sustainable solutions.
3. Facilitating human rights forums on a global scale.
Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala stated, “Forums like the LEAP Forum provide the optimal platform to unite diverse perspectives and cultivate transformative ideas.” Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika commended the event as a pivotal initiative in addressing global and local conflicts through unified efforts.
Participants resolved to expand LEAP Forums internationally, fostering a culture of peace and promoting sustainable development through tangible cooperation.
