140 Female Students Receive Sewing Training Diploma Certificates in Kilinochchi

A total of 140 female students who successfully completed sewing training programmes at Jeeva Ootru Anbin Karam training centres in Kilinochchi received diploma certificates at a ceremony held in the district.

Diploma Certificates Awarded to 140 Students in Kilinochchi

Kilinochchi: A diploma certificate awarding ceremony was successfully held in Kilinochchi for students who completed their sewing training at the sewing training centres operated by Jeeva Ootru Anbin Karam in the Kilinochchi District.

A total of 60 students successfully completed their sewing training with the support of the Christopher–Eame family from Canada, while another 80 students completed their training with the sponsorship of Mission Mail, an organisation based in the Netherlands.

Accordingly, diploma certificates were presented to and awarded to a total of 140 students at the ceremony.

The event was held under the leadership of Mrs. Dayalini John, Chairperson of Jeeva Ootru Anbin Karam, with the participation of S.S. Seelan, Praveen, Benjamin, Marcus, Kaji and Kalaiyarasan.

Jeeva Ootru Anbin Karam expressed its heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Christopher–Amy family and Mission Mail for their generous support towards developing the students’ skills and improving their future livelihood opportunities.

The sewing training programme aims to equip students with practical skills and create opportunities for self-employment and sustainable livelihoods.

The initiative continues its journey with the vision of building skills and transforming futures through empowerment and vocational training.
