Gamer.LK brings mediation to Esports with Corporate Mediation Pledge for Alternative Dispute Resolution

Gamer.LK, Sri Lanka’s pioneering Esports organiser, has signed the Corporate Mediation Pledge issued by the International Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (IADRC). Signed under the supervision of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for the Development of Commercial Law and Practice (ICLP), the pledge was made on the 4th of August, at the Port City Colombo.

The Corporate Mediation pledge enables a culture of alternative dispute resolution, without involving complex legal interventions and lawsuits. As a result, a mediation-first outlook builds confidence among Esports stakeholders, conveying a stance of calm yet constructive discourse instead of legal austerities, for solving any problems lest they arise.

Signing the pledge on behalf of Gamer.LK, CEO Raveen Wijayatilake remarked: “For us, this Corporate Mediation pledge paves the way not only for corporate interest, but for Esports in general. Adopting a healthy, modern, legal framework that allows for fast outcomes is important for the growth of Esports in Sri Lanka.”

Gamer.LK is Sri Lanka’s largest Esports tournament organiser, organising official Esports leagues and championships for 30+ top gaming titles such as PUBG MOBILE, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike 2. Since 2007, Gamer.LK has launched large-scale, official Esports tournaments such as the Sri Lanka Cyber Games, Mercantile Esports Championship, as well as Inter-School and Inter-University Championships, while also supporting the Sri Lanka Esports Association to promote local Esports talent on the global stage.
